Job summary

Lives Group in Malaysia (Selangor) invites an experienced Accounts Executive to join the Finance team on a permanent basis. The role requires 10-15 years of accounting experience and offers stability within a group environment.

You will oversee the full set of accounts, perform journals, reconcile the GL for monthly closes, and prepare financial statements and monthly management reports in line with IFRS and MRFS policies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of accounting experience.
• Familiar with IFRS and MRFS standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage in preparation of full set of accounts.
• Perform journals and reconcile general ledger to support monthly closes.
• Prepare financial statements and monthly management reports per IFRS/MRFS and company policies.
• Liaise with auditors and banks on audit matters and tax/gst/sst compliance.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts.
• Review day-to-day credit, collections and payments.
• Review AP transactions postings.
• Assist in year-end audits, tax computation, and company secretarial tasks.
• Review internal controls and propose workable business solutions.
• Guide and train subordinates; lead the Accounts team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage in preparation of full set of accounts
• Perform accounting operational duty such as preparation of journals and reconciliation of general ledger to support monthly ledger closing and reporting schedules
• Prepare financial statements and monthly management report with compliance to accounting standards (IFRS, MRFS) & company policies
• Liaise with auditors, and banks on internal and external audit matters, and all statutory and tax/GST/ SST tax requirement compliances
• Preparation of financial budgets and forecast
• Review and monitor day to day activities related to credit and collections and payments
• Review all the AP transactions posting
• Assist in year-end audit activities, annual tax computation and co sec activities
• Review internal control and system gaps and providing workable solutions for the business and its operations
• Review and provide guidance and training to subordinates
• Lead and manage a team of executives in the Accounts department
• Undertake any ad-hoc assignments as when required for the management team
