Job summary

Max Outdoor Sdn Bhd is seeking an enthusiastic Accounting Intern to join our Finance team on a full-time basis in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in financial accounting and reporting within a dynamic outdoor retail environment.

The intern will support our accounting team in day-to-day financial operations whilst developing a strong foundation in accounting practices and principles.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in accounting/finance.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
• Support bank reconciliations and supplier invoices.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Prepare financial statements under supervision.
• Record and classify financial transactions in the system.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.

Max Outdoor Sdn Bhd is seeking an enthusiastic Accounting Intern to join our Finance team on a full-time basis in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in financial accounting and reporting within a dynamic outdoor retail environment. The intern will support our accounting team in day-to-day financial operations whilst developing a strong foundation in accounting practices and principles. This role offers valuable exposure to real-world accounting processes and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the organisation's financial management.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts and journal entries
• Supporting the reconciliation of bank statements, supplier invoices, and other financial documents
• Helping to process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision
• Recording and categorising financial transactions in the accounting system
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Filing and organising financial documents and records in a systematic manner
• Liaising with internal departments to gather necessary financial information
• Assisting with basic data entry and spreadsheet management tasks
• Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc administrative and analytical tasks as required

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or willingness to learn
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• A professional attitude with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to established procedures
• Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn and develop new skills
• Previous accounting or finance experience, whether through coursework, projects, or prior internships, is desirable but not essential
