Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Able to work independently with ownership and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and data gathering from diverse sources.
• Good communication with external accountants and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and Excel; internship or software exposure is a plus.
• Willingness to use AI tools as part of daily work.

We are seeking a proactive and independent Accounts & Finance Intern to manage key accounting and audit preparation tasks for FY2026 and to support the implementation of improved processes for FY2027. You will collaborate closely with our outsourced accountants while operating with a significant degree of autonomy. Access to AI tools will be provided to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's accounts and financial records

Serve as the primary liaison between the company and our outsourced accounting firm

Proactively identify, gather, compile, and organize all necessary documents, statements, and supporting schedules from various internal and external sources

Ensure the completeness and accuracy of documentation required for financial statement preparation and the external audit

Support the timely completion of the FY2026 accounting and audit processes

Assist with the migration to a new accounting software platform

Help establish integrations between the new accounting system and other existing cloud tools and software

Collaborate with outsourced accountants and the internal team to design and document streamlined process flows for daily accounting operations

Set up and implement AI-powered automation to compile documents from emails and web portals, then automatically prepare and send them to accountants

About you

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong sense of ownership

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at gathering information from diverse sources

Good communication skills for effective coordination with external accountants and internal stakeholders

Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles and Microsoft Excel

Prior internship experience or exposure to accounting software is advantageous but not mandatory

Comfort and willingness to utilize AI tools as part of daily work
