Job summary

Gamlite IT is seeking an Assistant Accounting to join the accounting department in Malaysia. The role focuses on accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, have at least 3 years of experience, and be proficient in Autocount, UBS, and MS Office. Some overtime may be required in peak periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role preferred, with at least 3 years of working experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Autocount & UBS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and payments to vendors.
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Maintain general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Participate in the review of accounting processes and recommend improvements.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding financial matters.
• Respond to inquiries related to financial records and transactions.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
