Job summary

CONFIDENTIAL in Kuching, Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented accounting assistant to support daily financial record keeping. You will perform data entry for sales, purchases, receipts and payments, assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, and help prepare payment schedules.

You will assist in bank reconciliations, monthly closings, document filing, and preparation for audits, taxes and statutory reporting.

• Assist in maintaining daily accounting records and financial documents.
• Handle data entry for sales, purchases, receipts, payments and other accounting transactions.
• Assist in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Prepare payment schedules and monitor outstanding balances.
• Perform bank reconciliation and assist with monthly accounting closing.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparing documents for audit, tax and other statutory purposes.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and updated on a timely basis.
