Job summary

Captain Ice SDN BHD (PUCHONG) in Puchong, Selangor, is seeking an enthusiastic Account Executive/Assistant to support our accounting operations in a full-time role at the Puchong office. You will work closely with senior accountants and management to assist with daily financial tasks and maintain accurate records.

Ideal candidates hold an Accounting/Finance qualification, have strong Excel skills, and are eager to learn.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Accounting/Finance (SPM, Diploma or Degree).
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL.
• Strong numeracy and detail orientation.
• Organised with good time management.
• Strong communication skills.
• Independent and team-oriented.
• Willingness to learn accounting.
• Professional and courteous with clients and colleagues.
• MICPA or AAT certifications preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and accounting reports.
• Process invoices, expense claims and payment vouchers.
• Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department.
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders on accounting matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
