Join our Malaysia team as an Accountant Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible as the Hub Process Owner (HPO) for HR & TE, leading accounting governance on employee-related GL accounts in assigned legal entities and portfolios under your direct supervision.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting Guidelines, Implementation Guidelines, Chart of Accounts, accounting instructions, and closing guidelines.
  • Being the primary contact for process, information, requirements, and analysis related to HPO topics.
  • Establishing process documentation for HPO topics, providing updates and changes, and communicating effectively with users.
  • Analyzing and enriching change requests related to HPO topics.
  • Conducting accounting training and refresher courses to ensure organizational knowledge quality.
  • Addressing accounting and audit queries, preparing audit schedules, and managing information on employee-related GL accounts.
  • Reviewing and analyzing employee-related GL account content and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Proactively seeking process optimization, enhancing operational service quality, and ensuring timeliness and effectiveness.
  • Supporting digitalization initiatives and improvements in accounting processes, and implementing global initiatives.
  • Executing internal controls and supporting measures to address deficiencies.
  • Fostering team collaboration and maintaining a high-performance culture.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Degree in Accounting or a professional accounting qualification; ACCA certification preferred.
  • At least 4 years of work experience, preferably with Big 4 firms.
  • Strong technical accounting background and knowledge of Siemens-related accounting, finance, and reporting methodologies.

Skills and attributes:

  • Strong team player, independent, with a high-performance mindset aligned with SHS principles.
  • In-depth SAP FICO knowledge, with experience interfacing with HR systems.
