Job summary

SIG Global, headquartered in Singapore with a Kuala Lumpur branch, is seeking an Accountant with strong Mandarin proficiency to manage full sets of accounts for local and corporate clients. You will handle monthly/ yearly closings, tax filings, and financial reporting, while coordinating with management and cross-border teams.

The role requires 3+ years’ experience, knowledge of SEA regulations, and excellent Excel skills. Office location is Kuala Lumpur, with standard hours Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance or Accountancy or related field, professional qualifications a plus (ACCA/CIMA/MIA/MICPA).
• Minimum 3 years finance and accounting experience including closing, reporting and analysis.
• Knowledge of local SEA accounting standards and tax regulations is advantageous.
• Proficiency with accounting software and excellent Excel skills.
• Strong integrity and responsibility with good client and team interaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts for the company and clients, including monthly and year-end closings.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management and clients.
• Lodge SST and tax returns; ensure compliance with IFRS and tax rules.
• Provide financial planning, analysis, and decision support to management.
• Supervise and review subordinates' tasks to meet deadlines.
• Maintain statutory documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Recognized degree in Finance or Accountancy or a related field. (With professional qualifications e.g. ACCA, CIMA MIA, MICPA will be a plus)
• Minimum of 3 years of finance and accounting experience, including finance, accounting, audit, and analysis (including gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to management and external parties).
• Knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations in SEA will be advantageous.
• Proficiency with accounting software and excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• Inquisitive with a strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for managing clients and team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to frequent changes.

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in both English and Mandarin.
• Mandarin speaker 精通中文 as role requires and candidate are required to deal with Mandarin speaking clients due to liaise with clients from Greater China region.

Job Responsibilities:

• Appointed as ACCOUNTANT for internal company and our valued corporate clients.
• Responsible for full set of accounts, including monthly and year end closing processes.
• Manage client's accounts and internal accounts in accordance with the relevant policies, rules and regulations.
• Manage and direct all aspects of financial operations for the Company, providing business decision support, financial planning and analysis, and implement strategic planning and improvement processes.
• To handle corporate tax matters including reviewing tax computation and corresponding processes.
• To ensure timely and accurate accounting and reports in accordance with local IFRS and tax rules.
• Lodge SST, Income Tax and any other tax related reporting on a timely manner and ensure payments are made to the authority within the stipulated deadlines.
• Communicate and present financial reports to the company management and clients.
• Oversee and monitor subordinates job tasks progress in order to meet client’s deadline.
• Well maintain and update statutory document records accurately.
• Report to management on relevant matters.
