Berjaya Corporation Berhad, based in Johor Bahru, seeks an experienced finance leader to manage all accounting and financial functions, including planning, budgeting, and reporting. The role requires coordinating with auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The candidate should be bilingual in English and Mandarin and capable of leading a finance team. The position emphasizes strengthening internal controls and timely management reporting to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or Professional Accounting Qualifications (CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years in accounting/financial roles with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Strong problem-solving skills and financial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial/accounting functions including planning and reporting.
• Oversee daily accounting activities and administrative tasks.
• Monitor and coordinate with Operations team for accuracy and timeliness of reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly management and financial reporting.

Job description

Responsible for management of all aspects of financial/accounting functions, inclusive of financial planning, financial/management reporting, budgetary controls, treasuring, funding, tax, planning, etc.

Oversee daily accounting activities and perform administrative tasks.

Monitor and work closely with the Operations team.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly management and financial reporting.

Maintain the Company's accounting system and enhance its internal control system where applicable.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, legal advisors and other statutory bodies/authorities.

Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management.

Job Requirements:

Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Professional Accounting Qualifications, CPA< ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.

A minimum of 5 years' working experience in an accounting and/or financial role, with at least 2 years of relevant managerial experience.

Good problem solving skills with strong financial judgement.

Proactive, independent, a team player, and able to multi task while meeting deadlines.

Good command of English and Mandarin to communicate with various clients.

The above position is based in Johor Bahru. Remuneration will commensurate with qualification(s) and experience(s).
