Job summary

SEER Business Advisory Sdn. Bhd. is seeking two Accountants to join our KLCC office in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end close and management reporting for an ASX-listed resources group, with direct exposure to Australian accounting.

The role covers payroll support, BAS preparation, and year-end schedules, in SEER's close processes. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting experience and CPA/MIA or near-qualifier status, with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or finance.
• ACCA, CPA Australia, CA ANZ, MICPA or MIA member, or close to qualifying.
• At least three years' accounting experience, preferably including Australian accounting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable services in Xero for a listed group of companies.
• Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounts and month-end journals.
• Prepare month-end and management reporting deliverables, and support the annual budget process.
• Prepare BAS (GST and PAYG) for review and lodgement.
• Provide payroll processing support.
• Prepare year-end schedules for statutory accounts, audit and tax returns.
• Liaise with client finance teams, external auditors and advisers in Australia.

SEER Business Advisory Sdn. Bhd. is seeking two organised, accurate and proactive Accountants to join our outsourced finance and accounting team in our KLCC office, Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidates will join a dedicated SEER client team delivering finance function services to an ASX-listed resources group headquartered in Australia. This is a hands-on role covering bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end close, management reporting, BAS preparation and year-end support, delivered within SEER's processes, quality review and reporting lines. The position offers direct exposure to Australian listed company accounting and the opportunity to grow with SEER's expanding Kuala Lumpur practice.

Key responsibilities

Deliver bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable services in Xero for a listed group of companies

Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounts and month-end journals under SEER's close procedures

Prepare month-end and management reporting deliverables, and support the annual budget process

Prepare Business Activity Statements (GST and PAYG withholding) for review and lodgement

Provide payroll processing support

Prepare year-end schedules for statutory accounts, audit and tax returns

Liaise with the client's finance team, external auditors and advisers in Australia

About you

Degree in accounting or finance

ACCA, CPA Australia, CA ANZ, MICPA or MIA member, or close to qualifying

At least three years' accounting experience, preferably including Australian accounting

Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, debtor management, reconciliations and month-end close

Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft 365, with strong Excel skills

Experience with Australian BAS and PAYG, listed companies or mining would be an advantage but is not essential

Strong written and verbal English communication skills, and confidence communicating with clients and advisers in Australia

Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion

Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn
