About the Role
This is a GL & Reporting focused finance position within an international business environment.
You will play an important role in keeping the company’s financial records accurate, supporting monthly closing activities and ensuring local reporting requirements are properly managed.
Beyond routine accounting, the role also offers exposure to statutory reporting, audit, tax matters, financial analysis and regional finance projects, making it suitable for someone who wants broader finance exposure rather than a purely transactional accounting role.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Closing: Manage day-to-day GL accounting activities, including journal entries, month-end closing and year-end closing, while ensuring financial records remain accurate and properly supported.
- Balance Sheet Management: Perform regular account reconciliations, investigate long-outstanding items and work with relevant teams to resolve differences across balance sheet and intercompany accounts.
- Statutory, Audit & Tax Support: Support the preparation of local financial statements and coordinate with auditors and tax agents on audit requirements, tax submissions and other statutory matters.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly reporting and provide analysis on key financial movements, including comparisons against budget, forecast and previous periods.
- Intercompany & Transfer Pricing: Support intercompany reporting and transfer pricing documentation by preparing financial data, schedules and relevant supporting information.
- Regional Finance Projects: Participate in finance transformation initiatives, system enhancements, reporting changes and accounting policy updates introduced by regional or global teams.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify existing finance processes, strengthen controls and improve the overall efficiency and accuracy of GL reporting.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Experience: Around 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally gained within an MNC, commercial environment or audit background.
- Finance Exposure: Strong understanding of General Ledger, month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting. Exposure to statutory reporting, audit or tax matters will be highly valuable.
- Systems: Strong Excel capability with exposure to ERP or financial reporting systems. Experience with SAP, OneStream or BlackLine will be advantageous.
- Language: Strong written and spoken English. Mandarin will be an added advantage.
- Working Style: Detail-oriented and accountable, with strong follow-up skills and the ability to work independently while coordinating across different functions and stakeholders
