Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking an Accountant to manage accounting topics for local and international entities, applying IFRS and local GAAP with involvement in tax and treasury. You will support monthly closings, consolidate balance sheets, and liaise with auditors.

The role requires a business/accounting degree and at least 2 years in a related environment, with strong Excel/ERP skills and knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IAS 37. Global team exposure is expected.

Qualifications

• Business/Accounting degree required with strong IFRS knowledge.
• 2+ years in accounting, audit, or related environment.
• Proficiency in IFRS, local GAAP, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounting topics for local and/or international entities under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Maintain internal controls and contribute to process improvements.
• Prepare monthly closing packages and financial statements for scope entities.
• Coordinate with partners and external auditors for audits and tax packages.

Purpose

• In the role of Accountant you will be responsible fo accounting related topics for the local and/or international entities
• (under IFRS and local GAAP) with a substantial involvement in tax and treasury.

Responsibilities

• Daily tasks/ responsibilities.
• Ensure Group accounting policies are applies
• Ensuring internal control procedures are applied (IcoFr framework);
• Participate to the efficieny and continuoius improvement of processes and tools;
• Monthly tasks/ responsibilities
• Perform monthly closing tasks
• Provide monthly package to our partners when applicable
• Review monthly package received from our partners when applicable
• Quarterly tasks/ responsibilities.
• Analyze Balance sheet at consolidation level, IFRS and Directional reporting
• Participation in the contract analysis, and all related legal documents (Shareholders Agreement, service agreement and …)
• Provide audit package and liaise with external auditors.
• Ad hoc requests from Accounting Lead/Manager.
• Prepare Tax package for Group in cooperation with Tax Manager
• Liaise with partners to obtain accurate data when applicable.
• Participation in the Tax reporting.
• Prepare financial statements for Sentities under your scope including audit and filing.
• Support partners with their financial statements.
• Ad hoc audit missions if needed

Education

• Business School or financial & accounting related degree

Experience

• Experience (functions, duration): Minimum 2 yearsâ experience in a related environment or an audit firm
• IT tools (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Power point), ERP
• Internal control
• Knowledge IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition, IFRS 16 Leases and IAS 37 provision, contingent Liabilities and Assets and others
• Statutory accounting and tax requirements in an international Environment
