Job summary

Suntory Beverage & Food Asia PTE LTD in Petaling Jaya invites a detail-oriented Trade Claims Executive to support trade spend management and claims validation, working with Sales, Finance and external partners.

Contract role (1 year) with 13th month salary after 12 months, annual leave, medical coverage; requires 1–3 years in trade claims/AR/AP; SAP experience beneficial; fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in trade claims / AR / AP / commercial finance (FMCG preferred)

Responsibilities

• Trade Spend Management & Analysis: Monitor and analyse trade spend against approved budgets and promotional plans.
• Claims Validation & Control: Review and validate trade and commercial claims for accuracy and compliance; ensure supporting documents are complete and approved.
• Invoice Processing & Reconciliation: Process and verify trade-related invoices; reconcile SAP records with trade spend systems; perform monthly SOA reconciliations.
• Payment Coordination: Prepare and submit validated claims to Accounts Payable; ensure timely payment processing with AP.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with Sales, Commercial, Finance, customers and distributors; resolve disputes and support audits.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Trade Claims Executive to support trade spend management and claims validation. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, control, and timely processing of trade-related claims, working closely with Sales, Finance, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Spend Management & Analysis

Monitor and analyse trade spend against approved budgets and promotional plans

Ensure accurate and timely recording of trade spend in SAP

Identify variances and highlight potential overspending

Claims Validation & Control

Review and validate trade and commercial claims for accuracy and compliance

Ensure all supporting documents are complete and approved

Investigate discrepancies, duplicate claims, and non-compliant submissions

Invoice Processing & Reconciliation

Process and verify trade-related invoices in a timely manner

Reconcile SAP records with trade spend systems

Perform monthly Statement of Account (SOA) reconciliations

Payment Coordination

Prepare and submit validated claims to Accounts Payable

Ensure timely and accurate payment processing

Work closely with AP to resolve payment issues

Stakeholder Management

Liaise with Sales, Commercial, Finance, customers, and distributors

Resolve claim disputes and discrepancies promptly

Support audits and provide required documentation

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

1-3 years of experience in trade claims / AR / AP / commercial finance (FMCG preferred)

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
