Job summary

Havas Malaysia is seeking an Account Manager to oversee day-to-day management of assigned accounts on-site in Selangor. You will coordinate client projects from planning to completion and serve as the primary client contact, developing strong relationships while ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables and maintaining project budgets.

You will collaborate with SAM/AD, Production, and insights teams to apply strategy, prepare briefs, and identify new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned account(s).
• Manages/coordinates client projects from planning to completion.
• May serve as the daily contact between the agency and the client.
• Proactive in developing and maintaining close and productive relationships with key client contacts, with integrity, involving SAM/AD as appropriate.
• Develops a thorough understanding of the client’s business and shares industry knowledge.
• Ensures client requests are dealt with promptly and translated into internal briefs.
• Gains client sign-off at relevant project stages, involving SAM/AD when appropriate.
• Ensures work sent to clients and overseers is timely, high quality, accurate and relevant to the brief.
• Identifies and solves problems as they arise, involving SAM/AD as needed.
• Checks meeting reports and emails to clients within 24–48 hours.
• Proactively manages jobs and production schedules to meet timelines and budgets.
• Supports team in prioritising tasks to meet group deadlines, coordinating with SAM/AD when needed.
• Prepares research and background information for briefs/pitches/presentations as needed.
• Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams and Production to add value and manage client requirements.
• Supports SAM/AD and Insights & Planning to apply strategy to projects.
• Identifies and pursues new business opportunities.
• Administration and finances: monitor costs, prepare quotes, maintain job records, and handle billing queries.
• Maintains filing systems and mentors junior account handlers in project finances.
