Job summary

MB World Group Berhad in Johor Bahru seeks an Account Executive to manage group accounting responsibilities within our property development portfolio. Based in Johor Bahru, you will handle full or partial sets of accounts and support month-end closes.

Responsibilities include accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, cost control, project costing, and ensuring tax compliance; you will coordinate with auditors and regulators as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years experience in property development or construction accounting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of project costing and progress billing is advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Excel and property development accounting software (MHW-KPA & Road Runner).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle full or partial sets of accounts for property development projects.
• Perform daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist in year-end closing and audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
