Job summary

Mosaic Expert Sdn Bhd in Klang District, Selangor, is hiring an Account Executive for full-time service. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, client relationships, and financial records for a diverse client portfolio, delivering accurate and timely accounting support.

The role requires a diploma or equivalent experience, proficiency in Excel and accounting software, and a solid grasp of basic accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting operations or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software platforms and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Excellent numeracy and attention to detail; ability to explain concepts clearly to clients.
• Knowledge of Malaysian tax compliance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate bookkeeping records for assigned client accounts, including income, expenses, payables, and receivables.
• Perform bank reconciliations, transaction coding, and journal entry preparation regularly.
• Prepare financial statements, trial balances, and accounting reports for client review and submission.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
• Assist with payroll processing and compliance documentation as required.
• Maintain organised client files, digital and physical, in line with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with clients to understand accounting needs and provide professional guidance.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Support tax return preparation and ensure compliance with deadlines.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our team in the Klang District, Selangor on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be the backbone of our client services, managing day-to-day accounting operations, client relationships, and financial records for our diverse client portfolio. This role is essential to delivering accurate, timely, professional accounting support that helps our clients' businesses thrive.

Key responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate bookkeeping records for assigned client accounts, including income, expenses, payables, and receivables

Perform bank reconciliations, transaction coding, and journal entry preparation regularly

Prepare financial statements, trial balances, and accounting reports for client review and submission

Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collection follow-ups

Assist with payroll processing and compliance documentation as required

Maintain organised and secure client files, both digital and physical, in accordance with regulatory requirements

Communicate regularly with clients to understand their accounting needs, address queries, and provide professional guidance

Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve issues promptly and professionally

Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and deadlines

Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality service delivery

What we're looking for

Diploma or certification in Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting operations or a similar accounting role, preferably within a small practice or firm environment

Proficiency in accounting software platforms and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial reconciliation procedures

Excellent numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

Professional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain accounting concepts clearly to clients

Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively

Knowledge of Malaysian tax compliance, GST and employment statutory requirements is desirable

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics in handling sensitive financial information

A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and develop within the accounting profession
