Job summary

Sans Group, a diversified organisation in natural healthcare, employee training, nutritious food, nutraceutical distribution, MICE marketplace, and health & beauty investments, is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the full set of accounts and provide financial insights.

You will oversee AP/AR/GL, monthly closings, tax compliance, cash flow forecasting, and internal controls, while driving process improvements and training the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing AP, AR, and GL.
• Ability to record, reconcile, and prepare monthly closing.
• Knowledge of GST/SST, corporate tax, and withholding tax.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile financial transactions with accuracy.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Provide financial insights and ad-hoc reports.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing with journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare year-end audit/tax schedules.
• Monitor cash flow and implement internal controls.
• Identify process improvements and train team members.

Job description

Manage and maintain the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).

Record and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Provide financial insights and analysis to support management decision-making.

Generate ad-hoc reports as required by management.

Month-End and Year-End Closing:

Execute month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

Prepare schedules and documentation for year-end audits and tax filings.

Taxation and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including preparing and filing GST/SST, corporate tax, and withholding tax.

Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and consultants during audits or reviews.

Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and tax laws.

Cash Flow and Internal Controls:

Monitor daily cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.

Implement and adhere to internal control policies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Process Improvement:

Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

Train relevant team members on updated accounting practices and tools.
