Job summary

Rimbaco Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting/finance professional to manage creditor reconciliation, invoicing review, and subcontractor payments. The role requires accuracy, independence, and a proactive approach to reporting and compliance.

The candidate will post accounting entries, prepare project and management accounts, and compile final accounts along with quarterly statutory returns.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess professional certificate/diploma/bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Ability to work in a team and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Check creditors’ aging and reconcile creditors’ statements.
• Review suppliers’ invoices and debit notes and ensure correct coding prior to posting.
• Process and update sub-contractors’ claims and payments.
• Post accounting entries accurately.
• Prepare project and management accounts.
• Prepare final accounts and quarterly returns as required by regulations.
• Report potential hazards and risks in the workplace to superior and align with ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 management systems.
• Comply with internal control procedures of the company.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Job description

• Posting of all accounting entries.
• Prepare project and management accounts.
• Prepare final accounts.
• Submission of quarterly returns as required by statistic department.
• Responsible to report any potential hazard and risk in the workplace to his superior.
• Support and aware of the ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 management system.
• Comply with the Company’s internal control procedure.
• Any other job functions assigned by the Management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/ Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 3 Year (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Team player and able to work independently and meet tight deadline.
