Job summary

Aveta Global Marketing Sdn Bhd is hiring an Account Executive to manage the full set of accounts, ensure timely month-end closing, and maintain robust financial controls in line with company policies.

You will prepare management accounts and reports, handle AP/AR, reconciliations, and liaise with auditors and tax agents to support statutory compliance and efficient financial operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably handling a full set of accounts.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, month-end closing, AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting, SST, and statutory requirements is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain full set of accounts, including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and fixed assets.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing within deadlines.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and other reports.
• Manage daily accounting transactions: invoices, payments, receipts, debit/credit notes, journals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, including balances and payment schedules.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules for accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, deposits, and other balance sheet items.
• Assist in cash flow monitoring and payment forecasts.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and authorities when required.
• Assist in audit, taxation, and statutory reporting matters.

Job description

The Account Executive is responsible for handling the full set of accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, month-end closing, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and preparation of financial reports. The role supports the Finance team in maintaining effective financial controls and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and maintain full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliation, and fixed assets.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing accurately and within the required timeline.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and other financial reports.
• Manage daily accounting transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, debit notes, credit notes, and journal entries.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, including outstanding balances and payment schedules.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain schedules for accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, deposits, and other balance sheet items.
• Assist in cash flow monitoring and preparation of payment forecasts.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and relevant authorities when required.
• Assist in audit, taxation, and statutory reporting matters.

About you

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with hands-on experience handling a full set of accounts.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, month-end closing, AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting, taxation, SST, and statutory requirements will be an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
