Job summary

SJM Flex (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to handle daily accounting and financial activities in Kapar, Malaysia. The role covers AP, AR, and GL, ensuring accuracy of records and timely closing.

You will review entries, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare reports and schedules while maintaining supporting documents. Relevant experience in manufacturing finance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Relevant experience in accounting/finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in using accounting/finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and manage deadlines.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting and financial activities.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Perform bank reconciliation and monthly account closing.
• Prepare financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Prepare and maintain accounting records in the company’s accounting system.
• Ensure accounting transactions are properly recorded and supported by relevant documents.
• Assist in audit, tax and other finance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and company policies.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
