PROCONSTRUCT ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a detail-oriented Account Clerk / Executive to join our finance team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role manages day-to-day accounting operations, processes financial transactions, and maintains accurate records to support smooth financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant accounting qualification, good Excel and accounting software skills, and strong numerical accuracy.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Diploma or Bachelor's preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and general accounts.
• Invoice clients and process payments/receipts.
• Maintain financial documentation per procedures.
• Assist in monthly financial statements and reports.
• Data entry and maintain accounting databases/systems.
• Support finance with admin tasks and ad-hoc projects.
• Liaise with vendors, clients and internal departments on financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Account Clerk / Executive to join our finance team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of PROCONSTRUCT ENGINEERING SDN BHD. As an Account Clerk / Executive, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, processing financial transactions, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Your contribution will be essential to supporting our finance department and enabling the company to operate smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, ledgers, and general accounts
• Invoicing clients and processing customer payments and receipts
• Maintaining and organising financial documentation and records in accordance with company procedures
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Performing data entry and maintaining accounting databases and systems
• Supporting the finance team with administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as required
• Liaising with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records

What we're looking for

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong numerical skills with the ability to work with figures accurately and efficiently
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
• Experience in accounts payable and receivable functions is advantageous
• Familiarity with the construction or engineering industry is a plus
