Job summary

Wear Safe (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (WSM) is seeking an Account Assistant to support our finance team in Penang. You will process supplier invoices, perform 3-way matching, and keep accurate AP records in our ERP system.

The role involves monthly supplier reconciliations, tracking accruals and prepayments, and assisting with year-end closing. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years' experience in manufacturing is a plus. Proficiency in Excel and SAP is required.

Qualifications

Meticulous with initiative and ability to learn quickly.
Fresh graduates welcome; 1–2 years experience in manufacturing is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP/SAP).
Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Process and verify supplier invoices applying 3-way matching (invoice, PO, delivery note).
Prepare monthly supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor ageing report to ensure timely settlements of obligations.
Maintain accurate AP records in ERP system and in physical filing.
Update accruals and prepayments for monthly and year-end closing.
Prepare statutory reports (SST02A, SST02, A55) and tax exemption documents.
Liaise with auditors and tax agents as required.
