Job summary

Jora Malaysia invites an experienced Account Executive to join our Kuala Lumpur team, focusing on financial accounting and reporting, supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring accurate records within a dynamic organisation.

You will process transactions, maintain GL, prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports, and assist with AP/AR, reconciliations, audits, SST/e-Invoice, and tax matters while liaising with internal and external parties.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field (Certificate, Diploma or above).
• 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience with SST, e-Invoice and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting practices and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Processing and recording financial transactions in the accounting system with accuracy.
• Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciliation statements.

• Prepare supporting information for tax agents, auditors and relevant authorities.
• Liaising with internal departments and external parties regarding financial matters

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team, a leading industrial development and construction company based in Kuala Lumpur. As an Account Executive, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the efficiency of our finance function.

What you'll be doing

Processing and recording financial transactions in the accounting system with accuracy

What we're looking for

A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Certificate, Diploma or above)

Proven experience working in an accounting or finance environment, preferably 5-8 years as an Account Executive or similar role

Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with financial data

Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting standards

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Reliability and integrity when handling sensitive financial information

Willingness to learn and develop professional accounting knowledge and skills

Familiarity with Malaysian accounting practices and tax regulations is advantageous
