KONTRAKTOR PEMBINAAN W Y PANG in Tangkak, Johor seeks an experienced Account professional to manage financial records, maintain accounting systems, and provide bookkeeping support to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial operations.

Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account professional to join our team in Tangkak, Johor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, maintaining accounting systems, and providing essential bookkeeping support to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This position is fundamental to the smooth functioning of our accounting department and plays a vital role in supporting informed business decision-making across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and categorising financial transactions in accounting systems and ledgers
• Reconciling bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Preparing and processing invoices, receipts, and expense reports
• Maintaining detailed and accurate financial records and documentation
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Managing accounts payable and receivable functions
• Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Supporting tax preparation and compliance activities
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
• Assisting with audit requirements and providing supporting documentation as needed

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of local taxation and compliance requirements in Malaysia is advantageous
• Relevant accounting qualifications or certifications (such as a diploma in accounting or professional bookkeeping qualifications) are preferred
