Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Executive for our manufacturing client. The role focuses on acquiring, purchasing, and negotiating materials, while maintaining records and ensuring on‑time delivery.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in Purchasing/Procurement/SCM within manufacturing and a related Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience in sheet metal or machining manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchasing/Procurement/SCM in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related area.
• Minimum 2 years exposure in Purchasing/Procurement/SCM in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, purchase, and negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies for requisitioned material.
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain quotations, prices, and delivery times.
• Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine alignment with company objectives.
• Oversee purchasing logs and records for accuracy and follow‑through.
• Monitor quality by reviewing costs, schedules, delivery timeliness, and specs conformance.
• Ensure contracts with suppliers align with company objectives.
• Coordinate purchasing quality and on-time deliveries, track supplier performance metrics.
• Interact with suppliers on quality and pricing issues.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment that promotes teamwork.
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks and related duties as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date procurement records and documentation.

Responsibility:

• Responsible for acquiring, purchasing, and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies for requisitioned material.
• Negotiates with vendors to obtain quotations, prices, and delivery times.
• Evaluates vendors quotes and services to determine if they are compatible with company objectives.
• Oversees the logs and records in the purchasing department to ensure accuracy and follow-through.
• Monitors the high quality of goods by reviewing costs, schedules, timeliness of delivery, and conformance to specifications.
• Ensures contracts with suppliers and vendors are consistent with the company's objectives.
• Coordinates purchasing quality and on-time deliveries, tracking supplier performance metrics (e.g., OTD, delivery, quality).
• Interacts with Suppliers on quality and pricing issues.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment that promotes a team atmosphere.
• Able to undertake ad-hoc tasks and related duties as and when required.
• Maintains up-to-date procurement records and documentation

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
