Job summary

TRIP GUARD SDN BHD seeks an experienced technician to assemble and install 275kV GIS bays and SF6 busducts under the direction of OEM erection supervisors, following strict cleanliness and quality procedures. You will position and align GIS modules, assemble flanges and enclosures, and assist with SF6 gas handling.

You will support lifting and rigging, keep the site clean, and record torque values for QC. 3+ years of GIS/HV experience and a CIDB Green Card are required; OEM supervision

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience installing GIS or HV switchgear (132kV and above preferred).
• Experience working under OEM supervision (e.g. on European or Japanese GIS).
• SF6 gas handling training or certification is an advantage.
• Familiar with torque procedures, rigging and lifting.
• Valid CIDB Green Card

Responsibilities

• Position and align GIS modules, bays and busduct sections.
• Assemble flanges, connectors and enclosures following OEM procedures and cleanliness controls.
• Help with SF6 gas handling, evacuation and filling under supervision.
• Support lifting and rigging of GIS components.
• Keep work areas clean and controlled to OEM standards.
• Record assembly steps and torque values for QC
