Job summary

TRIP GUARD SDN BHD is seeking an Electrical QA/QC professional to ensure all installation work meets project specifications, OEM requirements, and ITPs. You will verify documentation, manage NCRs and handover records, and liaise with client inspectors on high‑voltage projects.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years in QA/QC for HV substations, power plants or data centres, with strong knowledge of GIS and earthing standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in electrical QA/QC, preferably on HV substations, power plants or data centres.
• Good knowledge of HV cable installation, termination and earthing standards.
• Familiar with GIS cleanliness and assembly QA requirements (an advantage).
• Organised with documentation and confident dealing with client inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain ITPs, method statements and inspection checklists
• Inspect GIS, busduct, transformer, cable, panel and earthing installation at each hold and witness point
• Coordinate inspections with the main contractor, OEM supervisors and client QA/QC
• Control material receiving inspection for free-issued equipment and record any damage or shortage
• Raise and close NCRs, and track corrective actions
• Verify cable routing, glanding, termination and torque records
• Compile QA/QC dossiers and as-built records for handover
