Formación

  • 5+ años de experiencia en programas de WHS en operaciones de manufactura o servicio.
  • Conocimiento de regulaciones STPS y EHS en México.

  • Mantener métricas diarias y mensuales para reportar a la gerencia regional.
  • Realizar auditorías y observaciones de seguridad.

Amazon Fulfillment Mexico is seeking a full-time Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to serve as a designated safety representative for the Fulfillment Center, coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Safety Program as directed by the safety leadership. The WHS Manager promotes a positive safety culture while complying with Amazon safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits.


Job Requirements:

  1. Available to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to regional management teams and corporate based reporting systems.
  2. Support management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.
  3. Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions.
  4. Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.
  5. Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
  6. Facilitate incident investigation process.
  7. Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and STPS regulations.
  8. Enter Safety Incident Information in internal database in a timely manner.
  9. Perform safety observations and audits.
  10. Train and assist others (Area Managers, safety team members, etc.) to complete their safety responsibilities (Audits, Follow Safety Rules, etc.).
  11. Perform specific safety training as required by the Safety Manager.
  12. May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety related activities depending on the business unit and location.
  13. Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.
  14. Communicate health and safety needs to all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics.
  4. Knowledge of STPS, CIVIL PROTECTION, SEMARNAT, and SCT regulations specifically those related to Environmental, Health and Safety in Mexico.
  5. Spanish and English Advanced.
  6. Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
  7. Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
