Could you be the full-time onsite Work Package Senior Controller in Sahagun, HID, MX we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial management and controlling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.
You'll contribute to the optimization of financial performance for work packages, ensuring transparency of financial elements and mitigating risks effectively. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Controllers, local accounting teams, central controlling teams), validate data accuracy and cost valuations, and identify cost-saving opportunities, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Reviewing and validating QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance versus commitments for work packages and providing gap analysis (e.g., scope changes, performance variances, improper costing at tender stage).
  • Contributing to the optimisation of financial performance for work packages.
  • Ensuring transparency of financial elements consolidated in work packages versus completion forecasts, while assessing industrial and manufacturing risks and ensuring mitigation plans are in place.
  • Following financial results of action plans for cost reduction.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and alerting any deviations versus budget and forecasts.
  • Reforecasting costs to completion and reconciling budget figures as needed.
  • Monitoring and controlling costs to completion, including work-in-progress versus targets and checking costs against objectives.
  • Validating data accuracy and cost valuations (e.g., hours, hourly rates, purchase costs, fixed or unabsorbed costs).
  • Proposing actions to reduce costs.
  • Reviewing and validating tender-stage assumptions for costing, quality, and delivery to ensure proper backing and commitment from operational managers.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of financial management, cost controlling, and project controlling.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Familiarity with industrial and manufacturing risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and data validation.
  • Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and propose actionable solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of financial tools and systems (e.g., SAP, ERP systems).
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and optimize resources.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
