JOB SUMMARY

Based out of Guadalajara, JL.

Works without significant direction, under the Country Manager’s guidance and direction, planning and organizing own activities. Primary sales contact with customers for the sale of company products. Responsible for the coordination of all sales, training, and service needed by customers in national territory assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads, mentors and manages sales teams to drive profitable sales growth.
  • Innovates and finds new ways to position our solutions, shares tactics and best practices.
  • Provides accurate sales forecast and updates all opportunities in SF.com and reporting tools.
  • Identifies / develops new business opportunities, grows existing accounts and expands market share.
  • Prepares territory and assigned business segments sales plans, tracks and analyzes progress and trends, develops measurable objectives.
  • Understand market dynamics impacting the company, health system, customers and conducts competitor analysis.
  • Transforms the business model from CAPEX/Placement to Equipment/Solution selling.
  • Develops sales team and provides strategic coaching to improve sales performance.
  • Works in collaboration with the Country Manager and influences cross functional teams to develop the plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Builds strong and long-term relationships at all levels and focuses on customer needs to transform customer experience.
  • Leads team, customers and all stakeholders to drive adoption of Whole Blood Automation.
  • Continuously increases and sharpens technical knowledge as well as selling, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Owns the full tender process, including timely expression of interest, preparing questions for the Q&A session and tender submission using Gov (Compras MX) and Private platforms.
  • Manages budget and expenses, adheres to company policies, and communicates effectively with corporate and field personnel.
  • Acts as an ambassador of Terumo’s mission and core values: Respect, Integrity, Care, Quality, Creativity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Knowledge necessary to perform at this level is generally acquired through a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Biomedical Degree (BSN, MD, Eng), Chemistry, Biology or a related field.

Experience:

  • Six years of medical device or biomedical technology sales work experience working with Tenders, Quotes, Contracts, Sales Forecasting, with at least three years of sales management.
  • Technical understanding and experience in Sales/Marketing/Customer Service/Distribution Management/Metrics and Processes Development.
  • Sound understanding of Mexican Law of Acquisitions, Leases and Services for the Public Sector “LAASSP” and its regulation, including knowledge of network of Free Trade Agreements

Skills:

  • Sound understanding of healthcare and medical devices environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership / managerial skills, coaching and developing teams.
  • Strategic thinking to identify and address bottlenecks in the sales process.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English language

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Driving license preferred

Equipment:

Advance knowledge in Office Applications as User, and web-mail internet messaging services.

Available to travel nationally as required and internationally if necessary.
