Brose in Querétaro, Mexico seeks an experienced Welding Engineer with 8+ years in the automotive sector to lead welding processes and robotics programs. You will analyze root causes, optimize process parameters, and support design reviews to ensure manufacturability and quality.

Strong GD&T knowledge and English communication are required. The role focuses on Laser Welding, GMAW, and Projection Welding, with ABB robot expertise in programming and troubleshooting to drive cost-effective

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Welding/Robotics/Automation/Mechanical/Manufacturing or related field.
• 8+ years welding engineering experience in automotive, preferably welded seat structures.
• Strong expertise in Laser Welding, GMAW and Projection Welding.
• Experience with robotic welding systems including ABB robot programming and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T, capability studies, FMEA and DOE.
• Decision making, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot welding processes and parameters (Laser Welding, GMAW, Projection Welding).
• Perform root cause analysis to improve process/equipment performance and quality.
• Support design reviews and fixture/equipment runoffs, FAT/SAT, installation and launches.
• Contribute to GD&T-based design reviews for fit and manufacturability.
• Evaluate supplier concepts, processes, cycle times, and solutions.
• Troubleshoot welding defects (penetration, porosity, spatter, fusion issues).
• Drive process and product design improvements for speed, quality, and cost.
• Maintain deep welding fundamentals knowledge: heat input, joint design, metallurgy.
• Track timing, risks, open issues, and corrective actions during development.
• Prepare technical reports and management updates on status and risks.
