Accountable for overall performance and quality of the operations within the warehouse, receiving, shipping, production control, and inventory control, including proactively mitigating risks to the operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, recommend, and effectively execute advanced logistics and warehousing strategies in support of new and existing business objectives.
- Appraise service levels across assigned facilities, suppliers, and stores; and provide guidance to address gaps identified in product supply performance.
- Ensure the overall accuracy of the database at the assigned facility.
- Drive team-based sourcing recommendations that add value to operations.
- Collaborate with corporate, group, and cross-functional personnel, both domestic and global, to align strategic objectives.
- Advise management on business and market intelligence data, including opportunities and solutions related to transportation, warehousing, and supply chain trends.
- Communicate team progress and value to top management effectively.
- Monitor and manage transportation supplier performance, inventory metrics, on-time delivery, dock-to-stock, and the cash-to-cash cycle.
- Prepare annual department budgets and establish controls to meet objectives.
- Lead and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to EHS, including CTPAT, OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and IATF16949.
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience monitoring and controlling inventory levels closely.
- Expertise in cycle counts.
- Experience developing and implementing inventory management systems and strategies.
- Bilingual proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in supplier and production planning.
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment.
- Experience using financial and data-driven decision-making techniques; proven negotiation skills with freight and logistics providers.
- Knowledge of and participation in LEAN activities, including Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
