Transactional Warehousing:
- Ensure Raw Materials & Components are received promptly and accurately.
- Ensure the company’s physical assets (building, equipment, inventory, etc.) are properly controlled, maintained, protected, and utilized.
- Review and propose layout changes and ensure efficient space utilization.
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
- Superintend warehouse operations in compliance with company policies and vision.
- Plan workloads, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results.
- Ensure productivity, safety, and quality goals are achieved through continuous process improvement.
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, etc.).
- Monitoring of shipments to ensure regulation compliance.
- Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports.
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
- Ensure Agencies (US & Mexican) support operations (Importations and Exportations) accordingly.
- Participate in management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Actively participate in recruitment and hiring to maintain staffing levels with quality talent.
- Ensure personnel performance goals are set and achieved.
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Identify key performance improvement opportunities by adopting industry best practices.
- Measure, maintain, and publish warehouse key metrics.
Requirements and skills:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Warehouse Superintendent.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing KPIs.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Professional profile: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or supply chain management.
