Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Warehouse Manager located in Guadalajara, North Site.

The Warehouse Manager role involves implementing a successful operation by managing all distribution and warehouse functions. Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services, supervising staff.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Monitors volume of business and defines appropriate work schedule.
  • Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
  • Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
  • Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error-free culture.
  • Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
  • Coordinates floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciling records.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
  • BS degree in Administration, Engineering in electronics, mechatronics or related.
  • Strong experience in a similar position in metals.
  • Experience in High Tonnage, Coils and Metal Security.
  • Experience in personnel and warehouse management.
  • Advanced English.
  • Intermediate Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP (Baan).
  • Management of suppliers.
  • Knowledge of metal loading methodology (Coils & Plates).
  • Shift Availability.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Impacts the near-term (quarterly/semi-annual) operational success of the function. Creates functional processes or technologies. Executes and provides input to functional strategic plans and objectives for site. May lead initiatives that may impact multiple sites/customers.
