Job summary

ALTEN Mexico is seeking a Body Design & Release Engineer to drive the design, development, timing, and production release of body components and systems, focusing on Vision Lighting.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, review CAD models, and ensure DFM and release correctness for headlamps and tail lamps, leveraging CATIA/NX and Teamcenter in a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
• 4+ years reviewing, validating, and releasing designs for automotive body components.
• Experience with automotive cameras and/or lighting is valuable.
• Experience with materials such as steel and aluminium.
• Experience with welding, riveting, clinching, bonding, laser brazing, and paint processes.
• CATIA V5/3DX or NX for 3D/2D model review.
• PLM (Teamcenter) for documentation and release management.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheets management.

Responsibilities

• Owns component and system design, development, timing and production release for body areas.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate design and development of body systems.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of design and release processes.
• Works on Vision Lighting components including headlamps and tail lamps.
