Ford of Mexico's PD Academy program combines role-specific training with an applied engineering project within Vehicle Propulsion Systems Engineering. In this entry-level development role, you will use data engineering, analytics, and foundational data science to support VPSE decisions on fuel economy, emissions, performance, and calibration quality on Google Cloud Platform.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in data processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Programming in Python and knowledge of SQL, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and code review.
• Exposure to cloud platforms; GCP experience is an advantage with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Tekton, Pub/Sub.
• IAM, least-privilege access, monitoring, CI/CD, and secure development practices.
• Automotive or powertrain data experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, structured problem-solving, learning agility, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain data pipelines for powertrain datasets.
• Develop and support GCP solutions using Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Create Tekton CI/CD pipelines for analytics code and data workflows.
• Implement event-driven processing with retries, monitoring, and idempotency.
• Support Cloud Storage design including IAM, lifecycle and retention policies.
• Apply data quality, metadata, lineage, and documentation practices.
• Develop dashboards and reports that communicate trends and insights.
• Partner with calibration, controls, IT, and cybersecurity to understand needs and deliver solutions.
• Integrate security and release controls into delivery workflows, and support monitoring and incident response.
