Eaton is seeking a VAT Certification Analyst in Mexico City to support the maintenance of VAT Certification requirements, including Annex 30 monthly compliance, memo accounts, and VAT credit monitoring. The role also involves reconciling Annex 24 inventory with ERP/physical inventory and reviewing tariff classifications for production processes.
Candidates should have 1–2 years of experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and intermediate/advanced English.
What You’ll Do
As part of the VAT Certification team, the VAT Certification Analyst will support the maintenance of the company's VAT Certification requirements, including: Annex 30 monthly compliance, memo accounts (e-accounting), virtual suppliers' tax compliance, and VAT credit monitoring, among others. The analyst will also support the reconciliation process of the Annex 24 inventory control system vs. ERP / physical inventory (including fixed assets) performed by the Plants, as well as the review, analysis, and filing of new tariff classifications (both sensitive and non-sensitive) required by the Plants' production processes.

The VAT Certification team is responsible for ensuring that 17 Mexican businesses across 8 legal entities comply with all Mexican regulations regarding the temporary import and export of materials under the IMMEX and/or Maquiladora programs, representing roughly USD 2B in import/export activity per year. It also oversees Eaton's temporary imports and VAT Certification program to ensure continued acceptance in the program, protecting approximately USD 247M in annual benefit.
Education level required
Bachelor’s degree in international business / Law / Foreign Trade or a related field.
Years And Area Of Experience Required
1-2 years.
Technical knowledge
Knowledge of foreign trade laws, including: IMMEX program, VAT Certification and Annex 22, 24 and 30, among others.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas).
Intermediate/Advanced English.
