Job summary

Essity Mexico seeks a Unit Controller to monitor variable costs, analyze variances, and develop solutions that improve operational and financial performance on the site.

You will lead cost analysis, support annual budgets and forecasts, and provide advisory services to plant administration while ensuring audit compliance and timely reporting.

Role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and proficiency with Excel and SAP AP1 in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Cost analysis experience in manufacturing.
• Advanced Excel and SAP AP1 proficiency.
• English level B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Direct ownership of variable cost monitoring.
• Follow up of materials waste and inflation variance analysis.
• COGS savings calculation and tracking.
• Monthly warehouse closing and working capital reporting.
• Advise the plant's admin team on costs and overheads.
• Support annual budgets, forecasts and financial planning.
• Ensure audit/compliance adherence and timely follow-ups.
• Analyze variances and support action implementation.

## **Unit Controller**## Monitors variations in the company’s standard costs through the recording, analysis, and development of solutions, as well as the presentation of financial information that contributes to effective decision-making regarding new operational plans and policies.## **About the Role**## This role offers the opportunity to become a strategic financial partner for the site, leading analysis, strengthening cost control, and shaping the decisions that drive operational and business performance.## **What You Will Do** Direct ownership of variable cost monitoring.* ## Follow up of Materials Waste, Inflation effect variance analysis on month closing and planning.* ## COGS Savings calculation-tracking-follow up.* ## Monthly warehouse closing and WC calculation-tracking-reporting.* ## Provides advisory and consulting support to the plant’s administrative team on all cost and overhead expense matters.* ## Support annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning cycles to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.* ## Attend to all audit and compliance matters, both internal and external, ensuring timely follow‐up, documentation, and full adherence to corporate and regulatory requirements.* ## Continuously analyzes variances in financial results and supports the implementation and follow-up of actions aimed at improving financial performance.## **Who You Are*** ## Education: Finance, business administration, or a related engineering.* ## Experience: More than two years of experience in cost analysis in the manufacturing industry.* ## Programs: Advanced excel, SAP AP1 (productive).* ## English: B2* ## Accountability, operation Support* ## Strong analytical and critical-thinking* ## Effective communication and influencing abilities
