COFICAB Americas is seeking a Controlling Manager for the plant to lead cost analysis, manufacturing cost control, and budgeting processes. The role focuses on improving cost performance, inventories, and financial reporting in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
The position collaborates with Plant Management and cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives, manage SOX controls, and ensure accurate monthly closings and KPI reporting.
Responsible for controlling and analyzing plant costs and operational performance, ensuring accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making. This position monitors plant performance against Budget, Forecast and AOP, analyzes cost and material variances, controls inventory-related financial performance, and ensures the proper application of manufacturing costs in accordance with company policies and objectives.
The position works closely with Plant Management and cross-functional teams to identify risks and opportunities, improve cost performance, and drive continuous improvement across plant operations.
Develop and implement business reporting procedures, including reporting timelines and key performance measures for monitoring plant performance. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of plant controlling data and KPIs. Calculate, communicate and monitor benchmarking and performance indicators, preparing regular and ad hoc management reports on overall plant performance. Lead the plant Budget, Forecast and AOP processes, providing guidance and support to plant departments during budget preparation. Monitor Budget, Forecast and AOP realization, analyzing deviations and identifying risks and opportunities. Coordinate and support the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of plant results. Analyze manufacturing costs and material cost variances, including PPV, WOV, scrap, material absorption and other relevant cost drivers. Monitor standard cost versus current/actual cost and identify opportunities for cost improvement. Analyze product costing for new and existing products and provide accurate cost information to support business decisions. Ensure proper BOM processes from a Controlling/Finance perspective and identify cost impacts resulting from changes in materials, processes or products. Analyze inventory performance, including Excess & Obsolete (E&O), inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and physical inventory results. Coordinate and support annual physical inventory activities and follow up on inventory discrepancies. Prepare and/or review accruals, journal entries and reserves related to plant costs, inventory and manufacturing activities. Identify potential deviations, analyze root causes and assess their impact on plant financial and operational performance. Partner with Plant Management, Operations, Materials, Engineering and other functional areas to improve cost performance and support business decisions. Provide financial and operational guidance to Plant Management and functional leaders, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions. Prepare, communicate and review management control KPIs and develop continuous improvement plans for processes, procedures and systems. Support internal control requirements, SOX activities and financial audits, as applicable. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and internal controls related to plant controlling activities. Promote continuous improvement in controlling processes, reporting, cost management and operational performance.
