Forvia seeks a Production Manager to optimize resources and meet production schedules with Lean practices. You will lead area indicators, manage staffing, and ensure quality standards across the plant.

The role requires 2+ years in production management, engineering background, and strong English skills. You will drive continuous improvement, safety adherence, and KPI achievement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Formación

  • Engineering or related field required.
  • Advanced English.
  • 2+ years as production manager requested.

Responsabilidades

  • Review and monitor area indicators.
  • Review, monitor, and ensure adherence to the production schedule.
  • Manage headcount and staffing based on plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure KPI impact objectives are met daily.
  • Escalate issues and propose improvements.
  • Follow up on actions to meet customer quality standards.
  • Monitor application of Quality System procedures.
  • Lead continuous improvement actions (PDCA, 8Ds, KATQ, standardized work).
  • Conduct internal safety audits and enforce workplace regulations.
  • Monitor training of personnel per company requirements.

Role objectives

Manage human and material resources to meet the production schedules required by the customer—in terms of quality, cost, and deadlines—by applying Lean Manufacturing methodologies to achieve the plant's objectives.

Activities And Responsibilities
Frequent
  • Review and monitor area indicators
  • Review, monitor, and ensure adherence to the production schedule
  • Manage the area's headcount, maintaining authorized staffing levels based on plant efficiency and productivity while adhering to established "Human Organization of Production" criteria
  • Ensure KPI impact objectives are met through the Manager's daily routine
  • Use appropriate communication channels to timely escalation issues, opportunities for improvement, or proposed enhancements
  • Follow up on actions to ensure customer quality standards
  • Monitor the correct application of relevant Quality System procedures
  • Follow up on continuous process improvement actions (improvement ideas, PDCA, 8Ds, KATQ, standardized work, etc.)
  • Conduct internal safety audits and follow-ups
  • Comply with and enforce internal workplace regulations
  • Monitor the training of assigned personnel in accordance with company requirements
  • Participate in "Top 30" and "Top 60" meetings, as well as other required area meetings
  • Promote process improvement by generating improvement ideas
  • Ensure the correct application of FES methodologies and guidelines, particularly those regarding Personnel Involvement, Quality System Efficiency, and Production Systems (IP, QSE, ESP, PC&L, and Management Control)
  • Adhere to and enforce company safety rules and actions derived from the Environmental Policy
  • Wear and enforce the use of the work uniform according to established regulations
Occasional
  • Analyze situations and take action when objectives deviate from the plan
  • Conduct performance evaluations for personnel under their supervision
  • Prepare the area's semi-annual budget in alignment with the medium-term Business Plan

In addition to daily, frequent, and occasional duties, related tasks will be performed as required.

Desired candidate profile
  • Education: Engineering or related fields.
  • Advanced EnglishExperience in: 2+ years as production manager.
