Barry Callebaut in Mexico is seeking a Transport Planner to coordinate daily transportation activities and optimize shipment movement across the supply chain. You will work with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries while balancing cost and service.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least 1 year in transportation or logistics, strong English, and experience with TMS and Excel.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain operations.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate daily transportation activities, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery of shipments.
• Analyze shipment requirements and determine the most efficient transportation solutions while balancing service and cost objectives.
• Execute transportation planning and shipment tendering processes with approved carriers and logistics providers.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively address transportation exceptions, delays, and service disruptions.
• Negotiate spot rates and transportation services to optimize freight costs and capacity utilization.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and visibility throughout the transportation process.
• Analyze transportation performance metrics and develop corrective actions to improve operational KPIs.
• Support transportation-related projects focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and service improvements.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

The Transport Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing transportation activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods across the supply chain. This role works closely with carriers, warehouses, customer service teams, and internal stakeholders to manage shipment execution, maintain service levels, and proactively resolve transportation issues. The Transport Planner plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, improving customer satisfaction, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the transportation function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan and coordinate daily transportation activities, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery of shipments.
• Analyze shipment requirements and determine the most efficient transportation solutions while balancing service and cost objectives.

About you:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.

1+ years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain operations.

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Knowledge of transportation regulations, logistics processes, and industry best practices.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Results-oriented mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
