Descripción del empleo

This role provides leadership for the training department in support of production areas to supply qualified team members in a timely manner and assist with new style training for the existing workforce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintain all records and prepare statistical reports to evaluate instructor performance and monitor trainee progress, including attendance, praise, discipline, department, and individual goal setting to support company objectives.
  2. Ensure proper placement of employees to job assignments following initial training, aiming for the best fit to maximize success for both the company and the employee.
  3. Complete daily timekeeping entries to ensure accurate recording of hours for new hires and trainers.
  4. Promote safety awareness as a top priority, including prevention measures through engineering, communication, incident investigation, and compliance with legal and company requirements.
  5. Follow up with new hires post-graduation from training centers to ensure they meet production requirements. Provide training resources during New Product Launches and market processes to ensure high-quality output and adequate trainer knowledge.
  6. SCOPE & IMPACT: Conduct needs analysis and collaborate with managers and supervisors to identify training needs and develop effective training plans for proper implementation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent in training systems.
  • Knowledge of STPS standards.
  • Supervisory experience with direct reports.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in furniture.
  • Ability to perform administrative activities, including sitting, standing, walking, and minor repetitive movements related to processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English.
