A leading manufacturing firm in Zapopan is seeking a Training Specialist to enhance the technical and interpersonal skills of employees. The role involves conducting training programs, monitoring training effectiveness, and maintaining detailed training records. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and 1-3 years of relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of manufacturing standards are essential. This position is on-site and requires compliance with safety procedures.

Summary

Conduct training programs to enhance the technical and interpersonal skills of both new and existing employees. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the training provided. May involve planning and designing improvements for existing courses. Must have knowledge of manufacturing concepts, practices, procedures, and IPC standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom training.
  • Learn at least 10 core programs through observation and on-the-job training to become a subject matter expert.
  • Apply adult learning principles to maximize training effectiveness.
  • Instruct classes on both first and second shifts.
  • Schedule training activities, classes, or events.
  • Relate course material to actual on-the-job tasks and ensure skill development.
  • Achieve high satisfaction ratings (standard of 9.0/10.0).
  • Develop and demonstrate effective instructor competencies.
  • Follow all ISO and departmental procedures.

Provide post-class and on-the-job training support.

  • Assist in developing new and existing employees on the job.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding performance gaps.
  • Certify manufacturing employees according to established procedures.
  • Re-certify positions requiring re-certification in a timely manner as per company guidelines.

Maintain training records.

  • Input data accurately into training records, including training documentation, test scores, certifications, etc.
  • Keep training database records with 100% accuracy.
  • Complete administrative functions related to training classes.
  • Identify training needs and critical skills for each job function.
  • Identify training gaps and consult with management for solutions.
  • Develop instructional materials, lesson plans, and handouts using appropriate software.
  • Create JIT modules with suitable media.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through various measurement systems.
  • Participate in projects and team meetings.
  • Adhere to safety, health, and company procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; 1-3 years of training experience or equivalent education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions practically.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, analyze data, and interpret technical instructions.

Physical Demands

Frequent walking, lifting, and carrying of equipment up to 15 lbs. Visual acuity for computer work.

Work Environment

Office setting with low to moderate noise levels.
