Job Description Summary
The Training Leader is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and execution of training initiatives for production, quality, and support personnel.
This role ensures that training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with company standards, customer requirements, and aerospace industry regulations (such as AS9100, AS13100 and GE Aerospace).
The Training Leader plays a key role in delivering effective training programs, maintaining training records, and ensuring workforce competency.
Job Description
Functions and responsibilities
- Assist in designing and developing training materials such as work instructions, presentations, job aids, and assessments.
- Ensure training sessions are completed on production processes, safety, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Support on-boarding and orientation programs for new hires through the On the job trainers
- Oversees schedule and coordination of training sessions executed by On the job Trainers and department leaders.
- Through On the job trainers monitor training attendance, completion rates, and competency progress.
- May provide support to On-the-Job Trainers and department supervisors during training activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records in compliance with AS9100 and company policies.
- Prepare reports for audits and internal reviews related to training activities and qualifications.
- Ensure that training programs comply with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Gather feedback from trainees and managers to improve training content and delivery methods.
- Identify training needs based on performance gaps, audit results, and changes in processes or technology.
- Recommend improvements to enhance training effectiveness and workforce development.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace industry practices preferrable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS)
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in training and development within a manufacturing or aerospace environment or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience with instructional design and adult learning principles.
