Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Analyst Trainer with a strong Banking, Payments, and Credit Card systems background to train and mentor BA teams in a technical financial services environment.

The ideal candidate will combine deep BA expertise with hands-on knowledge of ISO 8583, payment processing flows, and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, deliver structured training sessions, and mentor BA teams.

Formación

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in Banking/FS/Payments or Credit Cards.
• Proven experience as a BA Trainer, Mentor, Instructor, Lead BA, or SME responsible for training/knowledge transfer.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of ISO 8583; capable of teaching payment processing concepts.
• Experience creating training programs or onboarding academies for Business Analysts.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver training programs for Business Analysts covering BA methodologies, requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Provide practical training on Banking, Payments, and Credit Card processes, including transaction lifecycles and payment flows.
• Train candidates on ISO 8583 concepts, message structures, transaction types, and payment‑processing flows.
• Develop training materials, examples, process flows, case studies, and assessments.
• Mentor BAs on BRD/FRD, user stories, requirements elicitation, functional specs, process mapping, UAT, and acceptance criteria.

Job Title: Business Analyst Trainer – Banking & Payments

Employment Type: Contract

Work Model: Onsite/Hybrid as required

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Trainer with a strong background in Banking, Payments, and/or Credit Card systems to train and mentor Business Analysts in a technical and financial-services environment.

The ideal candidate will combine strong Business Analysis expertise with hands‑on knowledge of payment processing and ISO 8583, along with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, conduct structured training sessions, and mentor BA teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training programs for Business Analysts covering BA methodologies, requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Provide practical training on Banking, Payments, and Credit Card processes, including transaction lifecycles and payment flows.
• Train candidates on ISO 8583 concepts, message structures, transaction types, and payment-processing flows.
• Conduct workshops, presentations, exercises, and knowledge-transfer sessions for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop or enhance training materials, examples, process flows, case studies, and assessments.
• Mentor Business Analysts on BRD/FRD, user stories, requirements elicitation, functional specifications, process mapping, UAT, and acceptance criteria.
• Explain real-world banking and payment scenarios and translate business requirements into clear functional requirements.
• Assess trainee progress, identify knowledge gaps, and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with technical teams, SMEs, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure training aligns with project requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of BA practices, documentation standards, and analysis techniques.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably in Banking, Financial Services, Payments, or Credit Cards.
• Proven experience as a BA Trainer, BA Mentor, Instructor, Lead BA, or SME responsible for training/knowledge transfer.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of ISO 8583 is required.
• Experience with payment processing, credit card systems, transaction processing, payment switches, issuing/acquiring, authorization, clearing, or settlement.
• Strong understanding of Business Analysis methodologies and documentation.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, functional specifications, UAT, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical and business concepts in a simple and structured manner.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Visa/Mastercard, ATM/POS, payment gateways, payment processors, or card networks.
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 in addition to ISO 8583.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
• Experience creating structured training programs or onboarding academies for Business Analysts.
• Previous experience mentoring junior or mid-level BAs.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Senior/Lead Business Analyst, Payments SME, or BA Trainer who has strong Banking/Credit Card + ISO 8583 expertise and can confidently train, mentor, and develop other Business Analysts.
