Pyramid Consulting, Inc is seeking an experienced Card Payment Processing Backend Instructor to train and mentor candidates on backend technologies and concepts used in the card payments industry. You will translate industry knowledge into practical instruction that accelerates learner mastery.

You will cover ISO 8583 messaging, transaction flows, and backend processing, including authorization, clearing, settlement, and real‑world integrations with banks, processors, and networks.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of ISO 8583.
• Hands-on C++ and backend development experience.
• Understanding of payment transaction flows and backend processing.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Card Payment Processing Backend Instructor to train and mentor candidates on backend technologies and concepts used in the card payments industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with card payment processing, ISO 8583, backend systems, and C++, along with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and practically.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training on card payment processing backend systems.
• Explain ISO 8583 messaging, transaction flows, message types, fields, and processing concepts.
• Teach backend concepts related to authorization, clearing, settlement, and transaction processing.
• Provide practical understanding of how card payment systems communicate with banks, processors, and payment networks.
• Use real-world examples and hands‑on exercises to explain payment processing workflows.
• Support learners in understanding and troubleshooting backend payment‑processing scenarios.
• Help learners build a strong technical foundation for working with payment‑processing applications.
• Collaborate with other instructors and teaching assistants to support the overall learning program.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of ISO 8583.
• Professional experience with C++ and backend development.
• Understanding of payment transaction flows and backend processing.
• Experience working with financial services, banking, payment gateways, card networks, or transaction‑processing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Previous experience as a Trainer, Instructor, Technical Trainer, Mentor, or Subject Matter Expert is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with ATM/POS transaction processing.
• Knowledge of payment authorization, clearing, and settlement.
• Experience with acquiring/issuing systems or payment switches.
• Familiarity with EMV, PCI DSS, payment gateways, or transaction switching.
• Experience mentoring or training software engineers.
• Ability to simplify complex backend and payment‑processing concepts for learners.

Location

Candidates based in Guadalajara are preferred. Candidates from Mexico City may also be considered.

Candidates based in India may also be considered for a remote opportunity.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a C++/Backend professional with strong card payment processing and ISO 8583 expertise who can transition their industry knowledge into effective technical instruction.
