Job summary

Grammer is seeking a Traffic Analyst in Tetla, Mexico to coordinate inbound and outbound freight across international and domestic routes. You will track shipments, manage claims, and optimize routes while ensuring compliance with customs and documentation requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year in a similar position, with strong carrier knowledge and SAP experience preferred. Some domestic and international travel may be necessary.

• A minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the carrier business, both domestic and international.
• Experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight (international and domestic).
• Track shipments and follow up on claims across multiple modes (oceans, air, truck, parcel).
• Plan and coordinate origin-to-destination shipments considering transit times and costs.
• Handle shipping documents and customs paperwork; support TMS rollout.

Traffic Analyst

What are your main tasks?

• The position will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound (international and domestic) freight; perform tracking and follow up of shipments and claims under various modes of shipment (ocean, air, postal, truck, and parcel) and perform related activities as required.
• Coordinates the movements of goods through various transportation methods, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery.
• Develops short and long-term strategy to support customer requirements
• Planning and coordination: organizing the shipment of goods from origin to destination, considering factors like transit times, cost, and legal requirements.
• Documentation: Handling shipping documents, customs paperwork and ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
  Transportation management system - support system implementation and roll out.
• Actively search and implementation of new carrier/lanes in cooperation to reduce cost and improve quality and delivery.
• Problem-solving: Addressing and resolving any issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or other logistical problems.
• Tracking and monitoring: monitoring shipments in transit, updating on status, and resolving any issues that arise.

What are your qualifications?

• Bachelor Degree - ideally in international business, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or another related field
• A minimum of 1 year in a similar role
• Strong understanding of the carrier business, both domestic and international (especially Ohio and Mississippi)
• Automotive industry experience required
• Ability to support multiple plants when necessary.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed - approximately every couple month, based on business needs.
• Experience with SAP preferred
