Xylem Chihuahua seeks a Lead Trade Compliance professional to own customs and foreign trade governance across the site, overseeing IMMEX/PROSEC/IVA-IEPS programs and liaising with SAT and regulators.

You will drive risk-based compliance, maintain records, and align with Mexican regulations while collaborating with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal and external providers to optimize duties and ensure audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, International Business, Customs, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Trade Compliance, Customs, or Foreign Trade, preferably in IMMEX/maquiladora environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of IMMEX, PROSEC, IVA-IEPS, Annex 24 and Annex 30.
• Experience with Mexican customs operations, import/export documentation, pedimentos, temporary imports, and inventory control.
• Working knowledge of tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, USMCA, RRNAs/NOMs, and customs duties.
• Experience developing procedures, internal controls, and compliance processes.
• Experience supporting or leading customs audits and regulatory reviews.
• Advanced English required.

Responsabilités

• Lead and maintain IMMEX, PROSEC, and IVA-IEPS programs; other foreign trade authorizations.
• Serve as primary contact with customs authorities on Trade Compliance matters.
• Own the site's Trade Compliance Officer role for customs compliance and audits.
• Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and service providers.
• Oversee Annex 24/30, origin qualification, USMCA docs and related regimes.
• Develop local Trade Compliance procedures aligned with policies and regulations.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on operations.
