AAM is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to ensure compliance with Mexican regulatory standards regarding international trade. The successful candidate will manage import/export records, analyze customs backflush results, and maintain accurate BOM updates in relation to ERP systems. Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business or IT.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of IMMEX and VAT Certification systems.

Job Description Summary

International Business Bachelor, Information Technology or similar, with 2-4 years of experience in the automotive industry. Problem Solving, Customs and Foreign Trade Specialist, Foreign Trade Programs (IMMEX, PROSEC, VAT Certification, AEO) with their applicable systems (Annex 24 and 30), Experience with Mexican Regulatory Trade Compliance (SAT, Customs and Ministry of Economy).

Job Description

The main responsibilities of the Mexico Trade Compliance Analyst in our manufacturing complex in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico.

  • Upload Import and export layout to Annex 24
  • Maintain import and export operations in alignment with the Official Mexican Customs reports (Data Stage Report) to reconcile discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Review import and export operations to maintain a proper recordkeeping, in accordance with the customs regulations for all MX plants.
  • Review, management, and coordination of the IMMEX Inventory Control System and VAT Certification Balances for all MX plants.
  • Working with the systems to ensure the correct management of the temporary import and export operations.
  • Ensure that the BOMs are updated in the Annex 24 according with the ERP BOM´s.
  • Ensure that the catalogs in the IMMEX Inventory Control System have the correct information.
  • Perform and ensure every month that the customs backflush is according to the customs regulations.
  • Perform reconciliations between the IMMEX Inventory Control System open balances and the physical inventory registered in the ERP.
  • Perform reconciliations between the IMMEX Inventory Control System and Data Stage.
  • Analyst customs backflush results
  • Review that the TXT files for the VAT Certification were correctly transmitted and validated.
  • Review the information transmitted to Annex 30 for VAT Certification purposes.
  • Perform the presentation of monthly and annual reports and or notifications of changes to the Authority for different registries (IMMEX/PROSEC annual reports, VAT Certification backflushes, VAT Certification notifications).
  • Anything else required by management.

Required Skills And Education

  • International Business, or IT Engineer Bachelor
  • Highly proficient with Excel
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Highly proficient with ERP/Annex 24 systems
  • Reconciliation between databases skills
  • Good problem-solving and auditing skills
  • Preferred:
  • 2 – 4 years of work experience
  • Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of Foreign Trade Programs: IMMEX, and VAT Certification systems (Annex 24 and 30, respectively)
  • Mexican Regulatory Trade Compliance (SAT, Customs and Ministry of Economy)
