Vertiv Group Corporation in Monterrey is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design new CRAC products. You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical and process engineering, production, and offerings teams to review designs, meet cost metrics, and address customer pain points.

You will perform engineering calculations for stress, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics, develop innovative solutions, and support field issues with robust product changes while maintaining quality

Formación

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or directly related degree.
• 3+ years of career experience in new product development as an individual contributor.
• Understand electrical schematic and pneumatic drawings (P&ID).
• Understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Capability of selecting HVAC components (compressors, valves, fans/blowers, pipe sizing etc.) and doing thermal system analysis.
• Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment independently and as a member of a dynamic team; offer and receive constructive criticism.
• Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market with understanding and respect for phases of the product development process.
• Excellent project management skills and communication skills.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferred CREO 4.0 and greater.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with analytical performance models, 2-Phase heat transfer fluids
• Experience writing performance test requests, ASHRE/AHRI preferred
• Knowledge of psychometric chart and (HCFC/HFC) refrigeration cycles
• Basic knowledge of CFD and/or FEA software, preferred Ansys
• Understanding of manufacturing limitations, break sheet metal and formed copper tubes

Extended Responsibilities:

• Occasional use of CFD/FEA software
• Work with software team to develop and verify CRAC system controls
• Plan and oversee performance testing (ASHRE/AHRI) then utilize the results to validate designs, control, and analytical models
• Create and validate analytical performance models
